Kaspersky Lab, a developer of Internet security solutions that defend against computer viruses, spyware and all forms of malicious software, said it is marking the culmination of the Company's season-long "Touchdowns for Technology" program with the donation of 51 computers among 16 New England schools.

Kaspersky Lab and 98.5 The Sports Hub teamed to go 'one-for-one' with the New England football team in the 2009-2010 season. For each touchdown scored by New England's football pros during the regular season, Kaspersky Lab pledged to donate one computer to a lucky school drawn each week, the groups noted.

Steve Orenberg, President of Kaspersky Lab Americas, said,

"Thanks to a great season by our hometown heroes, we are able to donate more than 50 computers to deserving New England schools. "Touchdowns for Technology" is a great way for Kaspersky Lab to directly benefit our local community. By donating computers to worthy schools and hosting high school classes in our offices to show how we use math, science and computers every day, we're hoping to raise awareness about online threats and keep students interested in technology. With any luck, some of these bright young minds will come to work at Kaspersky Lab someday and help us keep a new generation safe from Internet threats."

Chris Lord, Principal of Charles Shea High School, Pawtucket, R.I., said, "Our school is very thankful for the two computers resulting from the two touchdowns scored on November 30. We are a poor inner city high school serving a population from 50 countries speaking 25 languages -- most are below the poverty level as we have 80 percent getting free lunch and 100 percent getting free breakfast. Any contributions of this nature are greatly appreciated and I know I speak for the students and teachers in thanking Kaspersky Lab most sincerely."

Kaspersky Lab is a privately-held Internet Security company.
